Setup Instructions
Step 1: Download the Media Type Template
Download our pre-configured Zabbix media type template. This XML file contains all the webhook configuration needed to send SMS via WebSMS.
Download Template (XML)Step 2: Import into Zabbix
- Log into your Zabbix web interface
- Navigate to Alerts → Media types
- Click Import in the top right
- Select the downloaded XML file and click Import
Step 3: Configure Credentials
- Click on the imported WebSMS media type
- Update the websms_user parameter with your WebSMS email address
- Update the websms_password parameter with your WebSMS password
- Click Update to save
Step 4: Assign to Users
- Go to Users → Users
- Select a user who should receive SMS alerts
- Click the Media tab
- Click Add and select WebSMS as the type
- Enter the user's mobile number in international format (e.g., 6421234567)
- Configure severity levels and active hours as needed
Step 5: Test the Integration
- Go back to Alerts → Media types
- Click on WebSMS and then Test
- Enter a test phone number and message
- Click Test to send a test SMS
